Cómo jugar

How to play

Everything you need to hide the sky, from your first tap to Pluto. The boards on this page are playable.

El objetivo

The goal

A black hole is hunting the Milky Way to eat her. Your job is to hide her stars: leave the board completely dark and the level is solved.

Every time you tap a star, it flips along with its neighbors above, below, left and right. Lit stars go dark and dark stars light up. Diagonals don't count. On edges and corners there are fewer neighbors, so a tap flips fewer stars.

Try it here. Tap the star in the center:

Every level can be solved. Each board is built from a real solution, so you will never get an impossible one.

Dos reglas que lo cambian todo

Two rules that change everything

Tip

1. Tapping twice is like not tapping

If you tap the same star again, everything goes back to how it was. That's why each star is tapped once or not at all; you never need more.

2. Order doesn't matter

Tapping A then B leaves the board the same as tapping B then A. A solution is not a sequence, it's a set of stars to tap. Go in whatever order suits you.

Tip
TipIf you make a mistake, tap the same star again or use Undo: the board goes right back to how it was.

La pantalla de juego

The game screen

  • Top: the planet, level number and scenery zone; on the right, your total stars.
  • Timer: starts with your first tap and counts to the millisecond. Below it you see your best time for that board size.
  • Taps · Minimum · Lit: how many times you've tapped, how many taps the shortest solution needs, and how many stars are still on.
  • Buttons: Undo, Restart, the wand (“almost solve”) and the telescope, with the uses you have left.

Estrellas y medallas

Stars and medals

Tip

Every level can be solved three ways, and each is worth more stars:

MedalHow to earn itStars
BronzeSolve it, even if you used the telescope or the wand3 ★
SilverSolve it without the telescope or wand6 ★
GoldNo help and in the minimum number of taps (or fewer)9 ★

You can replay any level to improve its medal; the best one is always kept. Lessons always give gold. 900 levels in gold add up to 8,100 ★.

Stars are never spent: they show your progress and unlock styles (colors, effects and backgrounds) when you reach certain totals. On the main screen, tap your star counter to see what's next.

Tip
For goldUndo also takes the tap back. If you slip, undo and keep going: you can still get gold.

Los planetas

The planets

The journey goes from Mercury to Pluto. Each planet has 100 levels and its board is one row and one column bigger than the last. Beating level 15 opens the next planet, so you don't have to finish one to start the next. The scenery changes every 20 levels.

Figuras que se apagan con un toque

Shapes that clear in one tap

On small boards, the fastest move is to recognize the shape a single tap leaves. They're always the same, just rotated:

The crossFive lit in a cross: one tap in the center.
The cornerThree in a corner: one tap on the corner.
The TFour in a T: one tap in the middle of the edge.
Three on 2×2Tap the one diagonal to the dark star.
lit where to tap

A messy sky is almost always simple shapes stacked on top of each other. Where two shapes share a star, that star is dark (it flipped twice). Find the shapes, tap their centers, done.

Practice: here's a cross and a T stacked together. Two taps.

El barrido: el método que siempre funciona

Sweeping: the method that always works

When the board grows, you can't see shapes anymore. That's what sweeping is for, and it works on any size:

  1. Start on the top row. Below each lit star, tap the one right underneath. That turns off the one above (and moves the light down one row).
  2. Move to the next row and repeat. Keep going down row by row.
  3. When you're done, every row is dark except, maybe, the last one.

Sweeping takes no thinking: you see a light, you tap below it. Use “Sweep step” if you want the next tap marked for you.

On Earth (4×4), sweeping always clears everything: nothing is ever left at the bottom. On other sizes, sometimes something is left in the last row, and that's where the telescope comes in.

El telescopio

The telescope

When sweeping leaves stars in the last row, the telescope tells you which stars to tap in the top row. Then you sweep again, and this time everything goes dark:

  1. Sweep from top to bottom.
  2. Open the telescope: find what's left in the last row.
  3. Tap at the top what the table says.
  4. Sweep again.

Try it on 3×3 and 5×5. Sweep first, then tap “Telescope”:

What it costs

  • Each time you open it in a level costs 1 Telescope. Opening it again without touching the board is free.
  • From Jupiter (6×6) on, the first look in each level is free.
  • 1 recharges every 20 minutes, up to 20. The Shop has more, for Stardust or by watching an ad.
  • Using it in a level keeps that attempt at bronze. It can't be used on boss levels.

All the tables are in the Telescope tab on the main screen, so you can study them calmly. On big boards several lights are left at the bottom: the table tells you how to solve them one by one.

La varita: casi resolver

The wand: almost solve

If you're truly stuck, the wand leaves the board just two taps away from solved. It costs 20 Stardust, an ad or a saved wand (planet packs include wands). Since it's help, the level stays at bronze. On bosses it can be used once per attempt.

Niveles jefe

Boss levels

Every 10 levels (10, 20, 30… 100) the black hole comes for the Milky Way. You get 30 seconds per side of the board: one minute on Mercury, five on Pluto. The clock runs from the moment the warning ends, and there's no telescope on these levels.

  • If time runs out, you can retry or watch an ad to push the black hole back 30% and keep going (once per attempt).
  • Beating a boss for the first time gives 5 Stardust, and you can watch an ad to double it.
  • Sweeping works the same here. On big bosses, sweep fast and save the thinking for the last row.

Lunas y supervivencia

Moons and survival

Modo infinito y lunas aleatorias

Infinite mode and random moons

Finishing all 100 levels of a planet opens its infinite mode: endless new boards the size of that planet. Each one gives stars like a normal level (3, 6 or 9), and your best time is saved.

Finishing Pluto reveals two more moons: Deimos, with random boards from 2×2 to 5×5, and Miranda, from 6×6 to 10×10. Every round is a different size.

Estilos, Stardust y Telescopios

Styles, Stardust and Telescopes

  • Stars: earned by playing and never spent. They unlock styles when you reach certain totals.
  • Stardust: the in-game currency. You get 5 for each boss (the first time) and 50 for each planet finished; also from ads (10, up to 5 a day). It buys special styles, Telescopes and the wand.
  • Telescopes: recharge on their own (1 every 20 minutes, up to 20).
  • Styles: in the Style tab you change the shape and color of the stars, the tap effect and the background. There are stars, nebulae, auroras, planets, cities and more.

You can finish the whole game without paying. Real-money purchases (Stardust and planet packs) are optional.

Preguntas frecuentes

FAQ

Can every level be solved?

Yes. Each level is generated from a solution, and the “Minimum” number is the shortest one that exists.

Why didn't I get gold if I solved it?

Gold means no telescope or wand and the minimum number of taps. Check the Taps counter against the Minimum; Undo takes taps back.

Are levels the same for everyone?

Mars level 37 is the same board on every phone, so you can compare with friends. Infinite mode and moons do generate new boards.

Do I need internet?

Not to play. You do for ads, purchases, Google Play Games and the cloud copy.

I changed phones. Do I lose everything?

If you signed in to Google Play Games, your progress comes back from the cloud. Planet packs come back with “Restore purchases”.
